"The World's Flowers" is the fifth volume of Zen poetry by Dae Soen Sa Nim (Great Zen Master) Chang Sik Kim. The title poem in this volume was written to illustrate the state of our world which has led to the tragedy of September 11, 2001. This poem was written to offer a solution, a call for peace. Also contained in this volume are some poems written as memorials to the September 11th tragedy. The poems in this volume cover a wide range of subject matter. Zen Master Kim's poetry illustrates how the natural, cyclical process exists in all things in the universe from the molecular to the large. He illustrates the presence of humanity in nature and the presence of nature in humanity. The imagery is very real and vivid, it shows how all things are connected. These images stay and open the reader's inner eye, allowing one to glimpse the meaning of truth.
